Spectrum of Greed

I love this picture.  As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.  I think some points should be awarded here for creativity.  If you want to cut down the opposition at a hearing that could threaten your revenue stream, there aren’t too many better ways to do it than enlisting the disinterested to replace the passionate.  Many of the ills that befall us in today’s society are a direct result of apathy.  When a company can find a way to make apathy work for them, you have to give them a little credit, don’t you?

But wait, there’s more!  I found a YouTube video over a year ago when I was doing research for my book that I found hilarious, but over time had forgotten about.  I just re-found it on this site!  Check it out!

Save the Internet - it is more than a website, it needs to be a lifestyle.  I am constantly searching for those informed souls that understand our government is doing more to harm us than simply squandering our hard earned money paying for AIG bonuses & bad banking decisions.  The government is actually retarding the economy’s progress!  The site savetheinternet.com is a site dedicated to gathering enough grass roots momentum to overcome lobbyists and deep pocket corporations that want to continue with the status quo internet of today - the one that has landed us down at 19th position on the list of connected countries.

The site has a ton of  information available no matter what aspect of internet access you want to learn more about.  They actively seek involvement from organizations and individuals.  You can and should sign up here.  This site is an off shoot of freepress.org, a government watchdog organization that is providing opposition to lobbyists and corporations that are influence peddling in Washington to keep things as they are - dysfunctional.

There are several activities covered on the site, news of action going on around the country, current legislative issues, govermental appointments and other activities.  Within the site is a blog that also is kept current.  A recent post covers the appointment of a new FCC chair and the hope that this is a sign that the new administrations campaign trail commitment to net neutrality is still to be honored.

So visit the site and take action, that is what they are advocating, and it’s the right thing to do!  Remember, apathy sucks - saving the internet isn’t a slogan, it is a way to a new economy!
